Construction of the Ming-Jar Irrigation Canal

Construction of the Ming-Jar Irrigation Canal is actively underway in Chon-Alai District. The project is aimed at improving the district’s irrigation infrastructure and bringing previously unused agricultural land into productive use.

Once the canal is commissioned, 1,400 hectares of new land will receive irrigation water and be incorporated into agricultural production. Potatoes, grain and fodder crops are expected to be cultivated in these areas.
