On June 29, a regular meeting of the Coordination Council on Crime and Offence Prevention under the Chon-Alai District State Administration was held.

The meeting was chaired by B.J. Bakybekov, Deputy Head–Deputy Akim of the Chon-Alai District State Administration and Chairperson of the Coordination Council.

The meeting was attended by A.B. Bekbulatov, Chairperson of the Chon-Alai District Court; A.B. Sydykov, Prosecutor of Chon-Alai District; Z.K. Sarykov, Head of the Chon-Alai District Department of Internal Affairs; and members of the Coordination Council.

The following issues were considered on the agenda:

• prevention of offences;
• prevention of domestic violence and other forms of violence;
• prevention of crimes committed against children and by minors;
• prevention of fraud;
• countering extremism and terrorism.

During the meeting, reports from the heads of relevant institutions and organisations were presented, followed by a detailed discussion of the issues included in the agenda.

Following the meeting, appropriate decisions were adopted to improve the effectiveness of crime and offence prevention measures, strengthen interagency cooperation and intensify preventive activities.
